I wrote a post earlier on Vision
Boards and its role in helping
you manifest your dreams. I have
just come across an excellent
complimentary post which describes
very simply how to go through the
process of visualization.

Visualization Realization
By Karen Lynch
I remember years ago learning about visualizing. The way I understood it back then you saw this thing that you wanted in your mind in all of its details and then the Universe was clearly able to understand what you wanted and then you would be able to manifest it.
You had to be specific. Tell the Universe exactly what you wanted.
It sort of seemed like a chore, sort of difficult. It didn’t exactly work. I was always afraid that I would miss some important part and then I would end up manifesting something else and not really what I wanted.
See I had too many people, who didn’t know enough, trying to teach me what I so badly wanted to know. Whew!
I was always able to daydream. I was always able to visualize. That was never the problem. The problem was trying to make sure that the visualization was everything I wanted.
But I have learned something of great value.
Your visualization does not have to include every single detail.
You don’t have to visualize to tell the Universe what it is that you want.
The Universe already knows what you want!
You visualize so you can become more in alignment with what it is that you want. You visualize for the entertainment and the distraction so that you can get into a happy and joyful place and “Allow”.
You visualize for the Joy and the Pleasure. You don’t visualize to make something happen.
You visualize because in that state of daydreams and happiness you become closer to Source, you become more in alignment with “Who you are” and “What you want” and then you “Allow” it to happen.
Visualizing is fun and joyful and playful and wonderful. If it becomes anything less than that then “Stop”. Don’t make it hard. Don’t make it difficult.
Visualize for the Joy of it. Visualize for the Fun of it.
And then you will “Allow” your dreams to happen.

Vision Boards

The description by John Assaraf of how to
use vision boards in The Secret
is one of my favorite parts of the movie.
And it has become one of the most
powerful tools that I have incorporated
in my life to effectively use the
3
steps of the LOA.
A vision board is simply a board, can be anything really, where you can put images of what it is that you want. The purpose of which is to look at it and go through the 3 steps.
What I have done for my vision board is to create a few sections. I have a section for:
I then put magazine clippings, pictures, goals, sketches of things that I want into the relevant sections of my vision board. For example, I have a picture of the Pyramids of Egypt in my experiences section, as it is one of the places I really want to visit.
Then twice a day I look at all of these things that I want. I look at them and know that this is what I want. Then slowly move to feeling that I have already obtained the thing that I want, feeling absolutely happy and grateful that I have it. I then release this feeling to the universe, I have that visual from The Secret where those people emit those white bands, of what I can only describe as vibratory commands to the universe. I then move about my day ready to receive what is attracted to me.
If you are interested to know, I use these sticky bulletin boards from 3M/Post It as my vision boards. They are great. You can pretty much get them in most stationary stores these days. If you haven't seen them they look like this below.
