Top 10 Things Dr. Joe Vitale Does Everyday To Be Successful

18/06/07 01:20 PM
Here is an entertaining and educational post from The Secret teacher Dr. Joe Vitale's blog. He lists down the top 10 things he does everyday to be successful. I thought you would find it an interesting read.

His post has inspired me to review what I do everyday to be successful. I am going to make a list of my own.

1. Exercise.

I exercise 4 to 5 days a week. Weight-lifting is three days a week. Cardio/aerobics is two. I usually do this in the morning, after I've had enough coffee to awaken most of my body and alert it to the fact that we're about to move. Exercise is a great stress reducer as well as confidence builder. Plus burning off calories lets me consume some calories and not regret it. I work-out in my own gym, so I don't have far to walk to get there. Truth be known, I wish I didn't have to exercise. But I also know there's no healthy way around it. So I, as Nike advises, "Just do it."

2. E-mail.

I check e-mail all day long, but heavily in the morning. I do my best to answer important e-mails quickly, as if writing a short telegram where every word costs plenty. Since my business is largely Internet driven, taking care of urgent e-mails keeps me prosperous and customers happy. Since I'm in the movie The Secret, often these e-mails come from reporters or people wanting to set up interviews with me, so it's important I act on these right away. I answer most email faster than most autoresponders. I also have a couple of mentoring programs, such as Miracles Coaching, and I love receiving emails from people achieving new levels of success from this coaching. Donald Trump once wrote, "Email is for wimps." For me, it's for the successful.

3. Read.

It should come as no surprise to anyone who knows me that I read numerous books, many at one time, and throughout the day. I love books. I'm an admitted bookaholic. I rarely read fiction and can't get enough nonfiction in the areas of marketing, copywriting, publicity, advertising, spirituality, psychology, health, healing, hypnosis, mind power, new thought, muscle building, close-up magic, etc.

4. Write.

I'm always working on a new book. I have so many books out now that I can't remember them all, which means I can sometimes re-read one of my own books and be entertained, since it's new to me, too. Usually there is one book I am focusing on writing to the exclusion of all else. Right now I'm writing The Key: The Missing Secret to Attracting Whatever You Want, but I also have two other books to write and several more to promote. Focus gives me power. I write every day, either on a book, an email campaign, a blog post, a website, a news release, or an article for www.mrfire.com/ I even write blog posts from my Blackberry. I'm a writer, so I write. A lot.

5. Hot Tub

My Jacuzzi is the greatest investment of my life. I've never been so relaxed after being in it for just 30 minutes at 101 degrees. I now do this virtually every day. There's nothing like resting and revitalizing yourself so you can go back into the office and resume work. I think it's essential to meditate and relax, in some way, daily. If you're too busy to do this, then you really need to do this.

6. Gratitude

About six months ago I started smoking cigars. Not cigarettes with all their paper and additives; cigars. Say what you want, cigar smoking has become a type of gratitude meditation for me. I usually smoke a Cuban cigar outside, on the pool deck, in the evening. Sometimes I play one of my guitars, too. As I relax and look at the sky, I give gratitude for my life. I didn't always have a luxurious lifestyle. I was homeless thirty or so years ago. I am grateful to have survived it and grateful to be alive today. Life is good. Giving thanks makes it better. Watch my smoke.

7. I Love You.

Every day I spend time with Nerissa, our cats and dog, and feel the love. I've learned that the simple statement "I love you" can create miracles. "I love you" keeps the bliss alive. I explain this in my forthcoming book, Zero Limits. But I do this every day. I'm doing it right now. I'm silently saying I love you as I write this.

8. Planning.

Every evening I list what I will do the next day. But I do this in a unique way. I learned this method from Jerry and Esther Hicks. I make two lists. On one list I write the things I am scheduled to do, such as make calls, do an interview, turn in my tax records to my corporate accountants, etc. On the other list I write what I want the Universe to do. This may sound goofy, but the Divine (the Universe, God, Life, Tao, etc) will handle some of your bigger requests, if you simply ask. Again, this may seem gonzo to you, but it's my reality. Apparently, it works. I continue to do it. Have for years.

9. Research.

I visit very few websites, but those I do are essential to me. I visit Amazon every day. I'm always checking on how my babies (books) are doing, such as The Attractor Factor and my P.T. Barnum book. I'm always looking to see what new books Amazon suggests I get. I read a handful of blogs. I don't pay too much attention to the current news. I'm interested in trends, gadgets, new technology, health, healing, the Law of Attraction, etc. But my quick turbo-speed web surfing keeps me at least abreast of what's happening, so I can spot opportunities for new products, etc.

10. Nap.

I try to take a nap every afternoon. Sometimes being in the hot tub relaxes me so much that's it best to take a nap right after being in it. I need a nap to let my muscles recuperate from working-out. I also need a nap to let my mind refuel after writing and reading most of the day. I don't usually get a lot of sleep at night, so an afternoon nap keeps me sane, too.

Tell It Like Beckwith

18/06/07 12:14 PM
Here is an interview with Rev. Michael Beckwith conducted by Helen Gray.

Q. What is the most important thing people should know about their thoughts?

A. A thought is a unit of mental energy. A thought, because it is energy, cannot be created or destroyed, so it becomes our opinions, perceptions and beliefs, and those become our experiences. As individuals become aware of their thoughts and begin to become committed to real thinking, they can begin to change the course of their destiny. They can free themselves from victimhood.

Most people regurgitate the same thoughts every day. They are thinking the thoughts of someone else or rethinking their own thoughts. That is re-hashing. When a person is praying, meditating or engaging in some spiritual practice, new thoughts come forth. This is real thinking, and that would make you progress.

What is the key to happiness?

Happiness or joy is not based upon external conditions. They are based upon your inner joy and happiness. As an individual wakes up and feels a connection to joy and happiness as a way of life, conditions will shape themselves around what I call feeling tone. If you get around certain people, you can feel the tone of that person’s life. Events like the one at Unity I call tuning forks.

What is the main cause of unhappiness?

People are expecting something from the world, expecting people, places and things to bring them happiness. But you are here to bring your gifts to the world. … The problem with most people is they think the world will make them happy. The world is not set up for that. The best it can do is entertain.

You have everything within you — beauty, love, wisdom, transforming knowledge, intelligence, creativity, power, talents, gifts — all are within every individual. People think those things come from the world. But we are here to bring this to the world. Our happiness comes from us bringing these things to the world, not by trying to get them from the world.

How should people deal with situations that seemingly are beyond their control?

A problem represents thoughts or perceptions in people’s lives. So they have to go inside and see what that problem represents, then slowly shift their internal reference points to assist them in moving through that issue. There are different reasons for problems in people’s lives.

First, is what I call the Job factor. People are having a problem because they have a fear, which can be conscious or unconscious, and this becomes their experience.

Second, some people are going through issues because it is a life issue that they have invoked for themselves. Some are setting up lessons for themselves that will help them grow necessary qualities. When we look back on hard times, we can see where we grew from those experiences. Therefore, you may be in a learning process.

Third, there are certain people on the planet who are going through things because they are assisting the planet to advance spiritually. Some come to help the planet grow in love and compassion.

Fourth, as long as we as a society believe in scarcity, lack and disease, someone will experience that because that is the belief of the global society.

No one is a victim to circumstances. Everyone is a spiritual being and can find their way back to their divine origin and can live a life that is meaningful, authentic and powerful.

Michael Bernard Beckwith is a world leader and teacher in the New Thought–Ancient Wisdom tradition of spirituality. He is the founder of the Agape International Spiritual Center, cofounder of the Association for Global New Thought, and the Season for Nonviolence, which are extensions of his vision of one human family united on a foundation of peace, based on the spiritual origin of every man, woman, and child.

In 1986 Dr. Beckwith founded the Agape International Spiritual Center, a trans-denominational community which today counts a membership of 9,000 devoted to the study and practice of New Thought–Ancient Wisdom. Agape's outreach programs feed the homeless, serve incarcerated individuals and their families, advocate the preservation of the planet's environmental resources, and globally build and support orphanages whose children have survived the ravages of war and AIDS.

Dr. Beckwith's renown as a harbinger of the world's quest for peace has drawn into his visionary orbit those whose names are synonymous with this goal. Arun Gandhi, grandson of Mohandas K. Gandhi, shares with Dr. Beckwith the national co-directorship of A Season for Nonviolence (SNV). SNV promotes and teaches the principles of nonviolence embodied by Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and is endorsed by UNESCO on behalf of its Culture of Peace and Nonviolence Appeal by Nobel Peace laureates. Other notable supporters include Dr. C.T. Vivian, Dr. A.T. Ariyaratne of Sri Lanka, His Holiness the Dalai Lama of Tibet, Coretta Scott King, and Dr. Robert Muller.

As cofounder and president of the Association for Global New Thought, Dr. Beckwith stands, along with other co-creative leaders, members, and friends, at the threshold of an evolutionary leap that dares to call an end to human suffering. As its voice, Dr. Beckwith guides activities such as AGNT's annual Awakened World Conference, bringing together scientists, sociologists, spiritual leaders, economists, and international forecasters—individuals with proven track records in guiding humanity to its highest potential.

Dr. Beckwith teaches meditation, scientific prayer, and speaks at conferences and seminars. He is the originator of the Life Visioning Process, a time-tested technique offering its practitioners a method for putting a stop to being a passive tourist in one's life. He is author of Inspirations of the Heart (currently nominated as a finalist for the Nautilus Book Award), Forty Day Mind Fast Soul Feast, A Manifesto of Peace, and Living from the Overflow.

With a BA from Harvard University, a Masters from University of Massachusetts, and an honorary doctorate from the University of Santa Monica, Canfield has been a high school and university teacher, a workshop facilitator, a psychotherapist, and for the past 30 years, a leading authority in the area of self-esteem and personal development.

Canfield is the founder of "Self Esteem Seminars" in Santa Barbara, and "The Foundation for Self Esteem" in Culver City, California. Self Esteem Seminars trains entrepreneurs, educators, corporate leaders and employees on how to accelerate the achievement of their personal and professional goals, while The Foundation for Self Esteem provides self-esteem resources and trainings to social workers, welfare recipients and human resource professionals. Canfield has traveled to over 21 countries, delivering hundreds of keynote speeches, workshops and trainings each year. As part of his presentation style, he always uses inspirational, motivational and uplifting stories to help his audiences discover, experience and retain key concepts and approaches. After each session, audiences everywhere had encouraged him to put his stories into a single book.

In 1990, while on an airplane home, he felt that it was time. He shared his idea with author Mark Victor Hansen during breakfast one day. Hansen liked the idea, and so began the Chicken Soup for the Soul phenomenon. But with their busy schedules, translating what worked on the podium onto the written page proved more challenging than either of them had anticipated. After three long years, the two had compiled just sixty-eight stories — a far cry from the 101 they believed was the magic number for a successful book. Nonetheless, their successful partnership has spawned many other titles that have made them enormously famous.

Canfield has appeared on numerous television shows, including Good Morning America, 20/20, Eye to Eye, CNN’s Talk Back Live, PBS and the BBC. Today, he speaks shares his success strategies with companies and associations worldwide.

The most recent book Canfield has written was the 2005 publication of The Success Principles. In it Canfield shares 64 principles that he and other people have utilized to achieve great levels of success.

Jack Canfield with Bob Proctor and Rev. Michael Beckwith have created The SGR Program. A program designed to teach you how to effectively put the Law of Attraction to work in your life. Click here to learn more.

Secret Teacher Bob Proctor

12/06/07 08:43 PM
bob proctor, law of attraction, science of getting rich, secret teachers
Bob Proctor is an author, lecturer, counselor, business consultant, entrepreneur, and teacher preaching the gospel of positive thinking, self-motivation and maximizing human potential. In that endeavor, he follows in the footsteps of such motivational giants as Napoleon Hill, Earl Nightingale and Wallace D. Wattles.

His extraordinary teaching ability has won Proctor acclaim around the globe and has carried the Canadian-born motivator to the far reaches of the earth. He is as well known in Australia and Malaysia as he is in Alberta and Mississippi.

Born in a little town in northern Ontario, Canada with the low self-esteem that often befalls a family's middle child, he performed poorly in school, dropped out and did a hitch in the navy. Afterward he drifted from one dead-end job to another until a friend introduced Bob to the concept of self-development through Napoleon Hill's classic Think and Grow Rich.

With the spark generated by Hill's words, Proctor found the initiative to start an office cleaning business which he grew to international scope in his first year of operation. From that experience - after seeing what he had been able to accomplish with just a rudimentary knowledge of personal motivation and goal-setting - he hungered for more information.

IMG_2094
His quest took him to the Nightingale-Conant organization to study under his mentor, Earl Nightingale. Once on board, he rose swiftly through the ranks. Eventually, while the Nightingale-Conant organization assumed the forefront in wide-scale distribution of personal development programs, Bob felt the need to take his ideas and methods directly to the individual, to the one-on-one level which had proven so successful for him.

In the mid 1970's, Proctor established his own seminar company and secured a contract to work with a few hundred agents of Prudential Life Insurance Co. of America in Chicago. During his first seminar Bob made the suggestion that any agent present could write $5 million in business that year if the agent made a decision to do so.

The fact that the seminar took place in July with the year half over and that no agent in that region had ever written so much business in the 100-year history of the company made Bob's suggestion appear to be outrageous. However, when the performance level of the entire division increased substantially with more than one agent actually accomplishing the deed, Bob's reputation as a motivator was established.

Over the ensuing years, Proctor has shared his special message and expertise with hundreds of business entities worldwide and, through a program of live seminars, with thousands of people of all ages in all walks of life.

Bob Proctor with Jack Canfield and Rev. Michael Beckwith have created The SGR Program. A program designed to teach you how to effectively put the Law of Attraction to work in your life. Click here to learn more.
